The following are the terms and conditions for use of and purchase of products from thehappylampshade.com. Use of the Site constitutes your agreement to follow and be bound by these terms, which may at any time be amended. Your use at any time thereafter constitutes your agreement to be bound by the terms as amended. Your statutory rights are not affected.

 

GENERAL

Unless you advise us otherwise your use of the Site constitutes your agreement to us replying to you by electronic mail for such purposes as we may consider appropriate. We value your privacy and we will not share your information. You can opt-in or opt-out of our email list at any time.

We reserve the right to refuse to supply any individual or company and reserve the right to deny access to the Site.

Any typographical, clerical or other error or omission in any literature, website based information, quotation, price list, acceptance of offer, invoice or other document or information issued by us shall be subject to correction without any liability on our part.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Every reasonable effort has been made to accurately reflect actual colours however due to variances between monitors, colours cannot be guaranteed. We can send out up to 4 samples of fabric and paper prior to you purchasing a lampshade.

VARIATIONS IN MATERIALS

Your shade will be made using the same fabric or paper as pictured and described on our website but we use many handmade products which by nature of their make have slight variations in pattern and colour and sometimes minor markings or flaws as a result of the hand printing and weaving processes. Our shades are made by hand, so there may also be slight variations in the pattern design and placement.

Please be aware of this before agreeing to purchase one of our lampshades.

Where two matching shades are ordered, we will endeavour to keep the shades as alike as is possible.

Seams on Lampshades cannot be pattern matched.

PRICES

We make every effort to ensure the accuracy of our prices but it is possible that an error may occur. If we discover an incorrect pricing of the goods in your order we will inform you as soon as possible using the contact details you supply us and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it.

In the event of an order being cancelled, any payment already made for the goods will be refunded in full to whichever payment method was selected.

PAYMENT

Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.


We use Paypal and Wix Payments as our payment gateways. We redirect you to Paypal to make any payments so we never see your credit or debit card information, it is all encrypted on their side.

We have SSL enabled on our site for Wix Payments which means all transactions are over a secure network – this ensures maximum protection. You will see a padlock and our company name to the left of your address bar which signifies a secure page.
 

All transactions shall be made in Euros, and as the buyer, should you be overseas with a different currency, you will be liable for any exchange rate charges made to you by your card provider.

When we receive your payment and order details we will send you a confirmation email automatically on receipt of your payment and order details.

PRODUCT UNAVAILABILITY

In the rare circumstance of the product you ordered not being available, we will contact you using the email specified in your order to either offer a full refund or an alternative shade. Any refunds due to unavailability will be made as soon as possible, and within 10 days of your order.

DISPATCH & SHIPPING

We hand make all items after you purchase them, in line with your specifications. It will be noted on the website, at your time of purchase, the lead times for dispatch. This will also be confirmed in your purchase confirmation email. Sometimes, due to circumstances outside our control, illness etc, there may be a delay in dispatch. You will be kept up to date with any delays.

Once shipped, you will receive a confirmation email of dispatch. Delivery times can sometimes vary due to circumstances such as the Co-Vid19 pandemic and extreme weather conditions. We ask you to understand and bear with us in these situations. We use reputable courier services with tracking abilities.​

CANCELLATIONS

Any amendments or cancellations to an order must be submitted via email as soon as possible. We will do our best to assist you with any amendments.

We reserve the right to cancel purchases and orders for any reason prior to dispatch. If orders are cancelled for any reason, you will be refunded any monies paid in relation to these orders.

OWNERSHIP

All goods are the property of Thehappylampshade.com until full payment has been received.

This Site, its contents together with any trade names used by the Thehappylampshade.com are protected by intellectual property rights and permission is only given for personal use. Any use beyond that permitted may constitute an infringement of owners' rights and may be prosecuted.

LIMITATION AS TO DAMAGES

We take all reasonable care in packaging our lampshades. In the event that they are damaged in transit we shall be responsible for replacement costs of the item only. The Happy Lampshade shall not in any way be responsible for any personal injury or damage to property howsoever caused. We shall not in any way be responsible for any damage or any indirect loss caused by products arriving late or damaged.

OUR RETURNS POLICY

We are passionate about our lampshades and hope that you will be pleased with your purchase. But if you are not satisfied we accept returns on all items (with the exception of once-off commissioned lampshades, which is subject to a quote and invoice, and Sale items) provided we are notified within five working days of receipt. Please email us and let us know that you are returning the item and confirm the date that the item was/will be posted back to us. The item must be returned to us within 10 working days.

We do not refund the cost of the original delivery cost to you or the return, both of which you must pay, except in the case of faulty or damaged-in-transit shades.

Please ensure your lampshade is packaged appropriately, with the original packaging, so that it isn’t damaged in transit and sent using a trackable delivery service.

If the product returned is not in fully re-saleable condition, we reserve the right to refuse a refund on the item.

Your refund will be processed within 10-15 working days. 

There is no return/exchange on once off commissioned or Sale items.

For faulty or damaged-in-transit shades, please contact us and we can organise a replacement shade to be sent to you, or we can also offer you a refund. We will require you to take photographs of the damaged packaging and shade, and will organise for its return to us.

PRODUCT SAFETY

We recommend you use a maximum 40watt LED bulbs only. Our soft shades are treated with a fire proofing spray which is water based and a non-toxic, non-hazardous formulation. Our hard shades are lined with a fire resistant PVC material.
